Dan Kemp

With over 14 years’ experience in the cellar, Dan Kemp knows the ins and outs of a winemaking operation. He was promoted to Assistant Winemaker after holding the role of Cellarmaster for Twomey since 2014, but his time with the family of Silver Oak began in 2010. As a cellar worker, Dan assisted at both Silver Oak in Oakville and Twomey in Calistoga. Now based at Twomey Russian River Valley Winery in Healdsburg, Dan’s journey has come full circle, from where he completed his first vintage as a harvest intern just down the road at Rochioli Vineyards and Winery.

A graduate of the UC Davis Winemaking Certificate Program, Dan was born in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Spain—known for Fino Sherry. Now a native of Ukiah, CA, he enjoys mountain biking and jiu jitsu when not spending time with his wife, Aubrey, and son, Henry.
